What moves the figure: the room's measured wall area, the preparation its walls need, the paint tier, and any change from a dark colour to a light one. How much does it cost to paint a wall in Dubai?
Samra does not publish a per-wall price for plain paint. One wall is quoted on its own, from its size and its condition: a fresh-plastered wall, a wall with plaster cracks to fill and a wall just stripped of wallpaper each need different preparation. When you send photos, most quotes come back within the same working day.
Decorative finishes are priced by area, square meters first:
- Texture or decorative paint on a wall: from AED 120 per sqm (AED 11.15 per sq ft)

Feature wall painting and accent walls in Dubai
One wall goes into a deeper colour and the rest of the room stays as it is. Our painters tape the skirting and ceiling line and cut the colour in cleanly at the corner. Dark colours need extra coats to cover cleanly, and your quote says how many yours takes.
Choose the shade in the room it is going into: Dubai light is harsh, and a mid-tone reads very differently at 7am and at noon, so where the choice is not obvious our painters put sample boards up in your own space first. If you rent, get your landlord's OK before a strong colour goes on. Want the wall back to a light neutral later? We do that too; it needs more coats than a like-for-like repaint, so it is quoted separately.
In a villa, a feature wall in a double-height entrance hall needs tower access and two people, and that access is its own line on the quote. In an office or a shop, a reception feature wall can be painted after hours so the space opens as normal the next morning; after-hours work is a separate line on the quote. Single wall painting that blends with the rest of the room
We match the original developer paint code in Emaar, Nakheel, Damac and other developer buildings where it can be traced, so one marked or repaired wall can often be repainted on its own. Tell us the product or shade if you know it; if not, we match on site as closely as the existing finish allows, and where an exact match cannot be made we say so and quote the full wall or the room. Touch-up paint from a slightly different tin ends up more visible than the mark it covers, so we paint the wall from corner to corner.
The wall underneath matters as much. Hairline plaster cracks are filled and skimmed, or the new paint tracks the same lines within months. Where condensation has lifted the paint into bubbles near a window, it is scraped back and primed. An old leak stain gets a stain-blocking primer first, or it bleeds back through the new paint. Mould spots in a bathroom or kitchen are treated, and an anti-fungal primer goes on before the finish, because mould painted straight over comes back through. If water is still getting in, paint will not hold, so the waterproofing comes first.
Interior wall painting services in Dubai: which finish on which wall
Samra recommends choosing the sheen room by room:
- Matte: no sheen, and it hides uneven plaster, which matters in older Dubai buildings; it marks more easily, so it suits bedrooms and ceilings.
- Eggshell or satin: a slight sheen and noticeably more washable, for living rooms, hallways and walls children or pets reach; it shows wall imperfections more than matte, so preparation matters more.
- Semi-gloss: moisture resistant and wipeable for kitchens and bathrooms; we advise against it for a whole living room where the light is already strong, because it is too reflective.

- Photos. For one room, the photos and rough measurements you send on WhatsApp are normally all we need to quote. In a tower, add the building name: we submit the contractor paperwork and work inside the building's permitted hours.
- Written quote. Labour, paint, primer, filler and masking itemised, and the figure fixed before work starts.
- Protection. Furniture to the centre under covers, floors sheeted, the AC return sealed, skirtings, sockets and the ceiling line taped.
- Preparation and painting. Filling, sanding, stain blocking and primer where needed, then two coats as standard, cut in by brush and rolled for body.
- Walk-through. We fix anything you point at, put the furniture back, take the waste away and log the start of your warranty.
