Ducted AC installation prices in Dubai
The two ducted split starting prices below include the unit and its installation, with copper pipework, drainage, electrical connection and commissioning within the scope stated in your written quote. New ductwork is quoted separately. Package units, VRF systems, chilled-water FCUs and building chiller plant are priced individually after a site survey.

The survey checks the unit size, pipe route, electrical supply and ceiling access. Your written quote identifies the model, the work included and any additional charges before work begins. The survey is chargeable, with the fee confirmed before booking and credited against the installation if you proceed. Prices include VAT.
What changes the price
- The tonnage, and how many rooms the one indoor unit feeds
- Whether the existing ducts are reused or new ductwork is needed (new ductwork is a separate line on the same written quote, see duct installation)
- Ceiling height and access into the ceiling void
- Where the outdoor unit goes, and the copper length back to the indoor unit
- Whether DEWA needs a load increase for the new system
How long ducted AC installation takes
A single ducted split installation in an apartment typically takes 2 to 3 working days. A villa installation with several zones typically takes 4 to 7 working days. These are installation estimates, subject to the agreed scope, equipment availability and site access. Building-management or DEWA approvals, where required, may add time before work can begin. We confirm the programme after the survey.

Which system is in your ceiling?
Dubai homes use several kinds of concealed AC, and each one is installed differently. A ducted split is also sold as ductable AC, duct AC or concealed ducted AC; they are the same system. These visible clues can help narrow down the system; the survey confirms it.

What a ducted AC installation includes
- Survey. We measure the ceiling void, agree where the service access panel goes, choose the outdoor unit position and plan the drain route.
- Sizing. The unit is sized to the assessed cooling load of the rooms it feeds, not to floor area alone.
- Supply. The unit is supplied from the brand you choose, with availability and lead time confirmed in the quote. Manufacturer warranty registration follows the brand's process, and the applicable coverage is stated in your written quote.
- Installation. The indoor unit is hung in the ceiling void and connected to the supply and return ducts. The copper run is insulated end to end, the drain falls to a proper outlet and the unit gets its own electrical supply from the DB.
- Testing. We pressure-test, evacuate and commission the refrigerant circuit to the selected manufacturer's installation requirements, including the specified test pressure, evacuation and vacuum hold checks, and any additional refrigerant calculated and weighed for the installed pipework. Commissioning readings are recorded at handover.
- Commissioning. Air is balanced between the rooms, the supply air temperature is recorded and the drain is tested. The figures go on the handover sheet you keep.

New ducted system or replacing an old one
A new system in a villa or apartment under renovation is planned before the ceiling closes, so the unit, the duct route, the grilles and the access panel are fixed in one sequence.
Replacing an existing concealed unit starts with the ducts. We check the ducts, their insulation and the grilles before quoting. Existing ducts may be reused after their condition, insulation and airflow suitability are checked. Any required duct changes appear separately in the quote.
Central AC and package units
In Dubai, central AC usually means one system cooling a whole apartment, villa or office floor from one point through ducts, rather than a unit in each room. In an apartment or villa, a central system is usually a ducted split, priced in the table above. In larger spaces it can be a package unit.
A package unit holds the compressor, condenser, fan and cooling coil in one cabinet. It sits on a roof or a ground pad and is ducted into the building, which suits shops, warehouses, site offices and other standalone spaces. Package units are priced after a site survey.

Building chiller plant
Building chiller plant only. We do not install van or truck chillers.
Samra supplies and installs chillers for buildings and maintains them afterwards through our chiller maintenance service. Chiller plant is priced after a site survey.

Warranty
Our installation work carries a 6-month workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranty terms vary by the selected unit and brand; the applicable coverage and conditions are stated in your written quote.
Who does the work
Samra's own installation teams, on our payroll and not subcontracted. Samra is a DEWA-approved contractor: where your new system needs a DEWA load application and reconnection, we submit it and follow it through.

How much does a ducted split system cost in Dubai?
At Samra, a 3 to 5 ton mid-tier ducted split starts from AED 8,000 and a premium inverter ducted split from AED 12,000, supply and installation. Both starting prices include the unit and its installation, with copper pipework, drainage, electrical connection and commissioning within the scope stated in your written quote. New ductwork, if your home needs it, is quoted separately on the same written quote.
Is ducted AC cheaper than a split system?
For comparison, our installed 1.5 ton mid-tier inverter wall split starts from AED 2,500, against AED 8,000 for a 3 to 5 ton mid-tier ducted split. A ducted split usually cools several rooms from one indoor unit, so compare its price with the number of wall splits it replaces.
Is ducted AC good for a home?
It suits homes that want the equipment out of sight and cooling delivered through ducts to several rooms. It needs enough ceiling void for the unit, the ducts, the drain and a service access panel. One controller covers all the rooms that unit feeds, unless the unit and the layout allow zoning with dampers and separate controls.
Can I install central AC in my apartment?
It depends on the building's cooling system and permissions. In a building supplied with chilled water, the work may concern the apartment's chilled-water unit and connections. A ducted split may be suitable where outdoor-unit space, ceiling access, electrical capacity and building approvals allow. The survey confirms the system and whether service, replacement or a new installation is appropriate.
What does central AC mean in Dubai?
Usually one concealed ducted unit or package unit that cools a whole home or office floor through ducts. In towers on chilled water, people also say central AC for the building's chilled water supply and the FCUs inside each apartment.
