How much does a painter charge to repaint a door in Dubai?

Interior and exterior door painting: the primer each door needs
A door flexes, gets handled dozens of times a day and, in Dubai, moves between an air-conditioned room and a hot corridor. Wall paint on that surface stays soft, marks under fingernails and peels at the leading edge within months.
Solid wood, panel and flush doors
Sanded back to a sound surface, knots sealed, then a wood primer and the finish. Panel doors are cut in by hand at the mouldings, where a rushed job shows first.
MDF and moulded doors
MDF drinks paint at its cut edges and swells if water gets in, so on our jobs the edges always take a sealing primer.
Fiberglass and uPVC entrance doors
Fiberglass, common on Dubai villa entrances, needs an adhesion primer and a flexible topcoat that will not crack as the panel expands in direct sun. uPVC and composite doors are non-porous and take an adhesion primer too; with an ordinary primer they peel in sheets. Metal door and gate painting
Steel, iron and aluminium doors and gates get a corrosion check, surface rust treated back to sound metal and a rust-inhibiting primer, with a marine-grade system near the coast. Where corrosion has gone through the section, paint only hides it, and we say so. Railings and window frames are coated for the temperature swing across the glass line.
Frames, skirtings, architraves and wardrobe fronts
Frames, skirtings and architraves take enamel or a hard-wearing satin. They usually follow a wall repaint, because fresh walls make tired skirtings obvious, and can join a whole-apartment repaint. Fitted wardrobe and built-in cupboard fronts are prepared and finished in place.
Wood painting in Dubai: paint, stain or varnish
The choice usually depends on what is already on the door. Paint gives any colour and hides the grain, which suits plain timber, a door that is already painted, or doors matched to the joinery. Stain and varnish keep the grain and suit solid hardwood, Dubai villa entrance doors in particular, but they show every repair and sanding scratch, so the preparation takes more care.
Paint does not hide damage, so dents, screw holes and small splits are filled, sanded flush and spot-primed before any topcoat. Is it worth painting my kitchen cabinets, or should I wrap them?
Painting is worth it when you want a sprayed finish, in any colour. Wrapping suits sound, flat fronts where the carcass and layout are right and only the surface is tired. Where a door face is chipped, swollen or peeling, a wrap alone is the wrong spend because the film follows the damage, and that is when new cabinet doors and drawer fronts on the sound carcasses earn their keep. We paint in-house and offer kitchen wrapping, re-facing and cabinet repairs, so we have no reason to push one option.
Spray painting in Dubai for doors, cabinets and wardrobe fronts
Brush and roller work is done in place, with the door hung and minimal masking, though up close you can see brush texture. Spraying leaves no brush marks and is the better choice on a main entrance door or on wardrobe fronts, where the surface is large and flat, and it is how our painting team finishes kitchen cabinet doors. - Hardware goes back on once the paint has cured, we walk the job with you, and the 6-month workmanship warranty starts: if the same issue returns within 6 months because of our work, we fix it free of charge. The warranty covers labour.
Door and cabinet painting questions
Can I use enamel paint without primer?
Not on a door. Enamel holds only as well as the layer under it, and each material, whether wood, MDF, metal, uPVC or fiberglass, takes its own primer first.
Do you paint furniture?
No. Furniture spraying is a separate specialism and not something we take on.
