What our electrical team handles
Anything from a dead socket to a full-villa rewire. Every job goes through proper testing — RCDs verified, panel torque-checked, polarity confirmed — because the things that fail an electrical inspection are usually invisible until they aren't.
DB panel and MCB diagnostics
Pitted contactors, loose neutrals, miswired RCDs, undersized breakers. Every panel visit includes a thermal scan to spot heating connections before they fail.
RCD and earth-fault testing
Trip-time and trip-current verified with a calibrated tester. Most DEWA-installed RCDs have never been tested since handover; about one in eight fails the test.
Socket and switch work
Replacement, addition, repositioning. We pull the back-box, check earth continuity, and refit properly — not just push the loose face-plate back into the wall.
Lighting installation and repair
Ceiling lights, chandeliers, downlight conversions, dimmer compatibility, smart bulb integration. Wattage matched to fitting capacity to avoid heat damage.
EV charger installation
Type 2 home chargers (7.4 kW) and 11/22 kW three-phase units. Cable run from DB, dedicated MCB, RCBO protection, app pairing. Coordinated with building management for shared parking.
Smart-home wiring
Lutron, Hue, Aqara, KNX. Includes the boring bits — neutral wires at switch points, deep back-boxes, dimmer compatibility — that make smart-home actually work in older Dubai apartments.
Fault finding and diagnostics
Intermittent trips, dead circuits, lights flickering only at certain hours. We isolate, multimeter-test, and report — not just "replace the breaker and hope".
Full-villa rewiring
Older villas (1990s–early 2000s) often have undersized cabling, no RCD protection, and aluminium connections. Phased rewire that keeps key circuits live while we work.
Distribution-board upgrades
New consumer units, higher capacity, RCBO protection per circuit. Coordinated with DEWA where load increase is needed.
Generator and ATS interface
Manual changeover and automatic transfer switch wiring for villas with backup generators. Critical-loads circuit segregation.
When to call an electrician
Some electrical issues are inconvenient. Some are about to start a fire. Watch for these.
Breaker that keeps tripping
Particularly an MCB protecting a kitchen, AC, or water heater circuit. Resetting it without diagnosis is how electrical fires start. We trace the cause before you reset it again.
Outlet hot to the touch or scorched
Loose connection inside the back-box arcing under load. Stop using the socket immediately — that smell of plastic is the housing starting to soften. Same-day fix.
Lights flickering or dimming under load
Often a loose neutral on the main DB panel — invisible until you turn on the AC and watch the lounge lights pulse. Easily diagnosed with a thermal scan; cheap to fix early.
Partial power loss in one room
A dead circuit while the rest of the apartment runs fine. Usually a tripped RCBO, a failed breaker, or a back-box that lost its neutral. Quick diagnosis once we're on site.
Buzzing or humming from a switch / socket
Arcing inside the wall. The sound is the air ionising as current jumps a loose connection. Don't wait — book a visit while the electrician can still find which one is buzzing.
Tingles when touching a tap or appliance
Earth fault somewhere in the property — water lines or the appliance chassis are picking up voltage. Real shock risk. Shut off the main, WhatsApp us, we dispatch.
How a Samra electrical visit runs
Six steps. Same structure for a single-socket replacement and a full DB upgrade.
Booking and triage
WhatsApp +971 52 423 0419 with what you have — symptom or scope. We classify emergency vs. scheduled and confirm a time slot. For active faults (sparks, smell of burning, partial power loss) we walk you through isolating the affected circuit at the DB panel while we dispatch.
Arrival with the right kit
Multimeter, RCD tester, insulation tester, thermal camera, common cartridge fuses + MCBs + RCBOs in matching brands on the van. Electrician arrives in branded uniform with documented company ID.
Power-off + diagnosis
Affected circuit isolated at the panel before any cover comes off. Multimeter test, visual inspection of connections, thermal check on adjacent panel slots. Findings explained before any repair starts.
Written quote on site
For anything beyond the agreed call-out scope. Line-item — labour, parts, any wall work. You approve before we proceed.
Repair + functional test
Repair done with proper-spec parts (right rating, right brand for the existing system). Then power restored, every affected circuit tested under load, RCD trip verified. Numbers recorded.
Handover with photos and warranty
Job report shared on WhatsApp — before/after photos of the panel, multimeter readings, what was replaced. Workmanship warranty start date logged. Payment after handover.
How we price electrical work
Quoted in writing before any work begins. After-hours dispatch fee itemised separately.
Fixed-price written quote
Diagnostic call-out at a fixed fee, then a written quote for any repair work. Once you accept, the price is the price — no on-site upselling, no padded line items, no "while I'm here" surprises.
What changes the price
- Job type — fault diagnosis vs panel work vs new installation
- Parts cost (MCBs, RCBOs, sockets, lighting, EV chargers)
- Wall opening + finishing for concealed cable runs
- DEWA load applications for capacity increases
- After-hours / emergency dispatch fee (itemised)
How to get a quote
WhatsApp a photo of the DB panel or the issue, plus your area in Dubai. For non-emergencies we confirm the all-in price before dispatch. For active faults we dispatch first and confirm pricing on arrival.
Workmanship and material warranties
Two layers on every electrical job. Workmanship is ours; material warranties on breakers, switches, lighting, and EV chargers pass through directly from the manufacturer.
workspace_premiumWorkmanship warranty
6-month workmanship warranty — if the same issue returns within 6 months due to our work, we'll fix it free of charge. Covers labour only.
For electrical specifically: trips on a circuit we touched, dead sockets we wired, and lighting installs that fail in the first month are all covered.
verifiedMaterial warranties
Material warranties depend on the products and systems we install. Many of the brands we work with — including ABB, Schneider, Legrand, Hager, MK, and others — carry manufacturer warranties ranging from 1 to 10 years depending on the product. We'll confirm exact warranty terms for the specific materials used on your project before work begins.
Frequently asked questions
What warranty do you provide?
We offer two layers of warranty. First, a 6-month workmanship warranty on the labour we perform — if the same issue returns within 6 months due to our work, we re-do it at no cost. Second, material warranties pass through directly from manufacturers — some systems we install carry warranties of up to 10 years. We'll share exact warranty terms for your specific project before we start.
Does the workmanship warranty cover parts and equipment?
No. Parts, fixtures, and equipment are covered by their manufacturer warranties, which we pass through to you directly. The workmanship warranty covers only the quality of the installation or repair work itself.
Are your electricians DEWA-licensed?
Yes — for any work that interfaces with DEWA infrastructure (load increases, supply upgrades, connections at the metering point). For internal wiring and routine fault work in already-energised installations, our team is properly trained and operating under standard DED contractor licensing. We'll confirm the licensing scope on quote — it sometimes affects pricing for permit-required work.
Can you install an EV charger at home?
Yes — Type 2 home chargers (7.4 kW single-phase) and 11/22 kW three-phase units. We run a dedicated cable from the DB, install RCBO protection, and pair the unit with the manufacturer's app. For shared parking or dedicated metering, we coordinate with building management. Most installs complete in a single day.
How fast can you respond to a live electrical fault?
Day or night. WhatsApp +971 52 423 0419 — we triage on the message. For sparks, burning smell, partial power loss, and heated outlets we aim to dispatch within 1–3 hours wherever possible. While we dispatch we walk you through isolating the affected circuit at the DB panel.
Do you handle full-villa rewiring?
Yes. We phase the work so the kitchen, master bedroom, and main AC stay live while we rewire room-by-room. New cabling sized for current loads, RCBO protection per circuit, brand-matched DB consumer unit. Older villas (1990s–early 2000s) often need this — undersized cabling and missing RCD protection are common.
Do you do smart-home wiring?
Yes — Lutron, Hue, Aqara, KNX. The infrastructure work matters more than the brand: we make sure you have neutral wires at every switch point, deep back-boxes for hub modules, and dimmer compatibility for the bulbs you actually plan to use. Done properly the first time, smart home is great. Done lazily it's a recurring frustration.
