Duct modification and re-routing for office fit-outs that don't match the original AC zoning, tenant changes that need new branches, layout changes during renovation, and HVAC system expansion. In-house duct workshop fabricates the new sections to spec. System re-balance after modification is included.
What we modify

Re-route around new partitions
Moving a duct run during office fit-out to clear a new partition wall, glass front or feature element without compromising airflow.
Add a branch to a new zone
New tap-off from existing supply duct to serve a new room or zone, with VCD and access door. Sized to existing trunk capacity.
Remove a redundant branch
Removing a branch from a wall being demolished, capping cleanly at the trunk and re-balancing the remaining system.
Re-zone an existing run
Adding VCDs to split one run into multiple zones, adding VAV or CAV terminal boxes for variable load, re-tying tenant zones during sub-leasing.
Replace a damaged section
Replacing corroded, leaking or impact-damaged duct sections with newly fabricated matching gauge and dimensions. Same-day for small scope.
Upgrade for new load
Upgrading duct gauge, dimensions or insulation when an HVAC load increase or system change pushes the existing duct beyond spec.
Re-balance and commissioning
Air balance with calibrated anemometer, damper position documentation, before/after airflow readings at every affected diffuser, balancing report.
Why re-balance after modification matters
Most duct modifications change the system's pressure profile. Without re-balancing, the modified branch will be under- or over-supplied — and other rooms on the same trunk will be affected too. Most post-modification complaints trace back to a contractor who didn't re-balance.
Pressure profile shifts
Adding or removing a branch changes static pressure across the whole trunk. Untouched rooms get more or less air than they used to.
Calibrated readings
We take before/after airflow readings at every affected diffuser with a calibrated anemometer — not visual or audible checks.
Documented dampers
Final damper positions are documented so future modifications start from a known state, not a guess.
Handover-ready report
Balancing report shared with the building MEP team or landlord so the modification is signed off cleanly.

Joint failures, seam splits and modification errors traceable to our work are covered for 6 months. Covers labour and remake. Manufacturer warranties on dampers and equipment pass through to you directly — 0 to 10 years depending on the product.
