Curtain fixing work we take on
Curtain fixing sounds like one job and is really five. Track systems that need a level run across an uneven wall. Poles with heavy eyelet curtains that pull brackets out of plasterboard within a month if the fixing is wrong. Pelmets and boxed valances that have to sit flush against a ceiling line. Roller, roman and venetian blinds sized to a recess. Motorised tracks that need a power source and an end-stop set correctly.
We fit new rails and tracks, replace rails that have pulled away, cut poles and tracks to length on site, hang supplied curtains and blinds, fit pelmets, replace broken runners, gliders, brackets and end caps, and re-hang after painting or a move. If the curtains themselves need altering we will tell you plainly that stitching is not our trade.
Why curtain rails come down in Dubai apartments
Check the fixing before blaming the rail. Where the wall is a plasterboard partition with a void behind it, a plastic plug has nothing to grip. It holds for a few weeks, the curtain gets pulled twice a day, and the bracket lets go with a chunk of the wall attached.
The right fixing depends entirely on what is behind the surface, which is why we check before drilling rather than after. Plasterboard takes a metal spring toggle or a hollow-wall anchor rated for the load. Block and concrete take a proper expansion anchor. Marble and porcelain need a diamond bit and a slow, cooled cut so the surface does not spider. Heavy tracks over a wide span need an intermediate bracket regardless of the wall.
Where a rail has already torn out, the fix is not simply a longer screw into the same hole. The damaged section gets made good and the new bracket gets moved onto sound material or onto a spreader.
Motorised curtain tracks
Motorised tracks are worth doing properly or not at all. The track needs a power supply within reach, the end stops need setting so the motor is not driving into a hard limit twice a day, and heavy or floor-length curtains need the motor rated for the actual weight rather than the showroom sample. We install supplied motorised systems and set the limits and pairing. Where a new power point is needed, our electrical team handles it under the same visit.
How curtain fixing is priced
A fixed call-out fee from AED 100 (subject to location) covers the first hour on site, which for a typical apartment is two to three windows if the brackets are going into sound material. Rails, tracks, poles and fixings are quoted separately if we supply them, and cost nothing extra in labour if you have already bought them.
What moves the number: the number of windows, the wall type behind each one, whether an old rail has to come down and the wall made good, ceiling height, and whether anything is motorised. Multi-item lists often fit inside a wider handyman visit where the same technician tackles curtains plus a few unrelated tasks.

Do I need to buy the curtain rail before you come?
Either way works. If you have the rails and curtains, we fit them. If you would rather we supply, send the window measurements and we will quote the track and the fitting together.
Can you fit curtains on a plasterboard wall?
Yes, with the correct anchor. Plasterboard needs a metal spring toggle or a rated hollow-wall fixing, not the plastic plug supplied in most bracket packs. That single choice is the difference between a rail that lasts and one that comes down.
Will you drill into marble?
Yes. Marble and porcelain need a diamond-tipped bit and a slower, cooled cut. We bring the bits rather than improvising with masonry drills.
Do you fit blinds as well as curtains?
Yes, roller, roman and venetian blinds, in recess or face-fixed.
