Custom Wardrobes in Dubai
A wardrobe that fits the wall, not the catalogue. Samra builds custom wardrobes in Dubai floor to ceiling, made to your wall and your clothes rather than a stock carcass with filler panels. Samra's own carpenters measure, build and install fitted wardrobes, sliding-door systems and walk-in closets across Dubai, with materials and hardware named on a written quote before anything is cut.

Custom wardrobes we build in Dubai
Built-in and fitted wardrobes
The classic Dubai job: a wall or alcove turned into storage with no gaps, no wasted height and no dust shelf on top. Hinged doors in painted, lacquered or veneered fronts, interiors planned around hanging, shelving and drawers in the mix you actually wear.
Sliding-door wardrobes
Sliding wardrobe systems for bedrooms where a hinged door would fight the bed. Top-hung or bottom-rolling tracks, soft-close as standard, mirror, lacquer or veneer panels, and doors sized to the millimetre so they run true for years.
Walk-in closets and dressing rooms
A walk-in wardrobe is planned like a small shop: open hanging, island drawers where space allows, shoe walls, lit rails and a place for the luggage. We build walk-in closets, custom closets and dressing rooms in villas and apartments, from a spare-room conversion to a purpose-built dressing room.
Custom cupboards and hallway storage
Customized cupboard runs for hallways, laundry, maids' rooms and under-stair spaces, the storage that never comes in stock sizes.
Wardrobes inside renovations
Renovating a villa or apartment? The wardrobe package is designed alongside the renovation so power for lighting, AC grilles and skirting lines are handled once, not fought over later.
What decides the price of a custom wardrobe
Custom wardrobes are quoted per project after a measure visit, and the drivers are worth knowing before you compare quotes.
The run, the height and the layout
Wardrobe pricing scales with the length of the run and whether it goes full height. A 2-metre alcove and a 6-metre dressing room are different projects, and a quote priced per linear metre should say what that metre includes.
Carcass and front materials
Moisture-resistant MDF or plywood carcasses, and fronts from painted MDF up through lacquer and book-matched veneer. Solid timber moves with Dubai's humidity swings, so large doors are built on stable engineered board with the timber look carried by veneer, the construction that stays flat.
Hardware, the part you touch every day
Blum, Hettich and Häfele hinges, runners and soft-close systems cost more than generic and last considerably longer. The brand goes on the quote; manufacturer warranties pass through to you.
Interior fit-out and lighting
Drawers, trays, shoe racks and shoe cabinets, pull-down rails and sensor lighting each add real cost and real daily value. We plan the interior with you rather than filling the box with shelves.
Comparing wardrobe quotes? Ask each company to name the board, the front finish and the hardware brand. We quote Egger or Kronospan board, the front finish in writing, and Blum, Hettich or Häfele hardware. A cheaper total with none of that named usually means a lighter carcass and hardware that fails first.
Getting the layout right before anything is built
Hanging heights that fit real clothes
Double hanging for shirts and trousers, one long-hang section for dresses and kanduras, and shelving planned from what you own, not a template. An interior planned this way holds noticeably more than the same wardrobe filled with equal shelves.
Depth, doors and the bed
Wardrobe depth is set by what a hanger actually needs plus the door swing in front of it; where the bed steals that space, sliding doors or a reduced-depth design with angled hanging keeps the room usable. This is decided at the measure, not discovered at install.
Full height, always worth it
Dubai ceilings usually allow a top cupboard row for luggage and seasonal storage. Stopping a wardrobe short of the ceiling wastes the easiest storage in the room and leaves a dust shelf.
Recent wardrobe projects
Fitted wardrobes, sliding systems and walk-in closets from real Dubai homes, photographed at handover, with build videos where clients allowed filming. Villa work runs to the top end of the market, in Dubai's premium villa communities, where the brief is a full bedroom suite rather than a cupboard: wardrobe run, dressing room and matching joinery, finished to sit beside the rest of the house instead of announcing itself.
How a wardrobe project runs
WhatsApp the wall
A photo of the space and rough width and height are enough for a first read and a ballpark conversation.
Measure and design
A wardrobe carpenter measures on site, plans the interior around your storage, and agrees fronts, finish and hardware with samples in hand.
Written quote
Line-item: carcass, fronts, hardware brand, interior fittings, install, and the install date. Fixed after measuring, not an estimate that grows.
Build off-site, fit on-site
Panels are cut, edged and finished before install day. In apartments we work inside the building's approved hours and protect floors and lifts on the way in.
Handover and warranty
Doors aligned, drawers loaded and tested, site cleaned. A written 6-month workmanship warranty plus the hardware manufacturer warranty, start date logged.
Custom wardrobe questions
Hinged or sliding doors, which is better?
Hinged doors give full access to the interior and take any finish; they need clear space in front. Sliding doors win in tight bedrooms and look cleaner across long runs, at the cost of seeing half the wardrobe at a time and hardware that matters much more, a cheap track is the classic sliding-wardrobe regret. We fit soft-close systems from Häfele and Hettich for exactly that reason.
Can you match my apartment's existing joinery?
Usually yes. We match veneers, lacquer colours and handle lines from a sample or a good photo, so the new wardrobe reads as part of the home rather than an addition.
How long does a fitted wardrobe take?
The honest answer is that finish and scope set the timeline, a lacquered walk-in takes longer than a painted alcove unit, so we put the install date on the quote in writing after measuring. That date is the commitment, not a brochure estimate.
Do you build walk-in closets in apartments?
Yes. Spare bedrooms and dead corridors convert well; we handle the joinery and bring lighting and small electrical needs through our own electricians so one company owns the whole room.
Can you repair or refresh an existing fitted wardrobe?
Yes, that is fitted making-good: wardrobe fixing visits for doors re-hung, sliding tracks replaced, hinges and runners swapped, plus new fronts on a sound carcass or a full re-face when the layout works but the look is tired. If only the doors have aged, re-facing costs a fraction of a rebuild.
What is the difference between your wardrobes and a furniture-shop wardrobe?
A shop wardrobe is a freestanding box in fixed sizes. A custom made wardrobe from a wardrobe maker is built to your wall, uses the full height, and is planned inside for your storage. If a freestanding piece is genuinely the right answer for a rental, we will say so.
